Plastic Fencing

The Ins and Outs of a Plastic Fence

When looking for a sturdy fence to place in your yard, one of the most popular selections to consider is made from vinyl. While wooden fences comprise a hefty amount of fencing across the United States, the thought of a fence made from plastic is becoming an increasingly acceptable option. This is because an assortment of popular benefits to choosing a plastic fence is attracting the attention of more and more homeowners.

The Advantages of a Plastic Fence

In this day and age, homeowners would rather enjoy the great outdoors of their backyard rather than spending hours maintaining their exterior elements. For example, the traditional wooden fence uses chemical treatments to keep its appearance, stains and paints with the potential for peeling, nails that become rusty over time, and rails that rot from the harshness of rain and sun. With a plastic fence, none of these concerns exist. Offering one of the lowest maintenance demands than any other material that the fencing of today is fashioned from, the flexibility and strength of plastic presents a product that stands the test of time.

Plastic fencing also becomes a great help for individuals maintaining a ranch, which may require hundreds of acres of fencing to complement a growing herd of livestock. A wealth of time, money, and energy is saved when a rancher doesn’t have to spend an afternoon nailing a rail back into place or gathering a few sheep that may have pushed through a tear in a rusty wire barrier.

The material used to create plastic fences possesses the capacity to take much more wear and tear than wood, even down to the color. If for some rare reason, a piece of vinyl rail suffers a chip, the color will remain the same, whereas a wooden fence post shows signs of abuse through chipped paint and noticeable digs.

Fencing that is made from plastic is totally weatherproof, taking on rain, sleet, snow, and extreme sun. Plastic fencing will not rot, corrode, or suffer splintering like wooden and aluminum fencing selections. Most plastic fence options also satisfy the needs of the environment as they are created from recycled plastics. They are also safe for humans, animals, and nature because they do not contain the hazardous chemicals, stains, and paints that treated wood is known to contain.

Keeping a plastic fence is also easy to achieve. Some styles easily rinse clean with cool water, while others require soap and water that is applied through the use of a soft cloth or sponge. Stubborn dirt can be removed with a soft bristle brush.

The Strength of Plastic Fences

Over the years, the plastic fence industry has seen a rapid increase in production and growth. The enhanced strength of plastic fencing may have something to do with the boost in sales. Vinyl fencing possesses a strength and durability that is five times stronger than that of a wooden selection. Even when the weight of cattle and horses meet with plastic fencing, the flexibility of the product is sturdy enough to withstand the pressure.

Overall, plastic fence selections possess a better look, last longer, remain stronger, cost less over time, and offer a variety of satisfying styles.

I want to us it for a my dog's 13th birthday party. Just to keep the other dogs in my yard, and as a barrier to keep my young dog in when we work on training. I don't want it up all the time and the posts won't be up all the time either(husband says so). Any other cheap portable fencing ideas would also be welcome. Thanks everybody!
