Depending on the type of system you are looking for, you have the option of confining certain kinds of animals in different areas to get the most out of your land. Two important factors to consider are access to grazing land and water. These are in fact the most important issues to consider so the farm fence system you choose will decide how easy it is for your livestock to access both.
Farm fencing is actually a general term referring to the various types of applications that are useful on a farm. Often you will find that you need more then one fencing system depending on the types of livestock you’re containing.
Pasture fencing is a common way of containing horses or cattle within a farm fence system. As a way of adding more security and making sure your livestock respects the barriers, many will also use a simple electric fence in addition to a pasture farm fence. In order to make sure that your fencing is effective it is important to train the animals. An electric fence is less physical and more mental and so you need to do as much as you can to expose the animals to the electric farm Farm Fencingfence before actually using it in the pasture.
Electric fencing isn’t always going to be an option especially if there are larger acreages and an unusual land layout. This is where barbed wire fencing can help to provider extra protection as it serves to also keep unwanted visitors off of your property. With a farm fence system there are many options, but they should all work together to keep your livestock safely within your farm.

Hi, I have a 6ft vinyl privacy fence and wanted to plant the Emerald Green Arborvitae. I know that you should plant 3-4 feet apart. However, how far do you plant from the fence line? I already have a few that are in the ground and are about 30-32 " from the fence line. I planted these last July and they seem to be doing great. Am I going to have problems in future years? The label say's that they get 3-4 ft wide. Thanks in advance for any help. Chris
